House for sale... again!

So, having missed out on our dream cottage in the country a few months ago, and not seeing anything remotely as good, we more or less decided to just stay put until next year.

And then, we got an alert about a house in a village near the town we like, and although it's not completely rural and has a smaller garden, we decided to go and take a peek.

It needs quite a bit of work - the kitchen and bathroom have been done recently at least, but the rest of the house needs cosmetic work doing - painting and carpets upstairs. There is also scope to extend over the current single storey study - where we could put an ensuite bathroom into our bedroom. The current main bedroom is long and thin, and quite dark so we would have that as a cosy spare room, we think.

It's got lots of potential. The problem is that the vendors want nearly the full asking price, so it means that any changes we wanted to make would have to wait until we had saved the money to fund it. That said, it's certainly livable in for the meantime.

The kitchen isn't huge, but well designed and there is a separate dining area in the sitting room. There's also a large downstairs study as well as the 4 bedrooms upstairs.

The garden is lovely - massive front garden and driveway and then rear garden with a veggie patch, shed, greenhouse, decking area and pergola, and a conservatory as well. It's not as big as the house we liked before, but we could get an allotment down the road if we wanted to do more veggie growing. It has fruit trees though - cherry, apricot, peach and plum; so great for homemade jams!

So. We need to try and sell our house. We've contacted the estate agents we used before to see if our previous interested buyers would still be interested. Failing that, we are now advertising on Tepilo.

Less time pressure this time as the vendors haven't found anywhere they want to buy yet and as far as we know they haven't had any other offers. Yet.
